THE RETREAT THEME

Join us on the island of Malta, a place where earth and water speak in old tongues, and presence can be felt in the stones, the salt, and the light.

Between your Roots & Open Sea is a 5-day retreat devoted to yoga, mindfulness, and sacred ritual — shaped by the wisdom of the elements and the richness of the land that holds us.
Malta is a place that sits between continents, between past and present, where the solid and the fluid meet in quiet conversation.
Here, earth is felt in the limestone cliffs, the cobbled alleys of ancient towns, the food prepared with memory and care, and the centuries of devotion held in sacred spaces. Earth is grounding, remembering, belonging.
Water surrounds everything. It softens, invites, expands. It’s in the sea that cradles the island, the salt air that opens the senses, and the quiet surrender of floating or diving or letting go. Water connects, cleanses, and carries.

Each day we’ll move between grounding and flow:
• Yoga practice and breath work in stunning locations
• Rituals like cleansing, intention-setting, and silent blessings
• Ancestry, community, and your place in the greater web
• Clear waters and breathing together beside the sea
• Joy in the small, seemingly trivial parts of life
• Stillness, truth, and restful presence

You’ll also be invited to explore:
• A nutrition workshop around the Mediterranean way of living
• A personal family tree inquiry
• A collective boat journey and offering to the sea
• The ancient streets, flavours and textures of Malta

We’ll honour all the elements — earth, water, fire, air, and ether — through movement, ritual, connection, and silence.

The retreat is lovingly held by Kris, Sarah & Maria, and supported by the quiet spirit of the island: incense at dawn, candlelight on stone, food passed between hands, the stillness of ancient places of worship, sun on your skin before a swim.

This is a space for deep connection — with the elements, with each other, and with the quiet truth of your own being.

WE STRIVE TO CREATE PERSONALISED EXPERIENCES

AND WE TAKE CARE OF EACH DETAIL IN ALL OUR RETREATS

Marianna

'It was truly extraordinary experience throughout, in which the Globalistina team created the space to feel completely comfortable and at ease. This ultimately allowed [me] to reconnect with some parts of me that really needed to come back to surface!'

Nienke

'The team was there with three amazing yoga teachers and we were a small group - so there was so much time for individual attention.'

Klaudia

'At the end I did not find what I was looking for, I found what I truly needed. I don't think it really matters if you've done yoga before. It's a place where you can find you peace and be challenged at the same time.'
